Why on earth did I plant a sunflower field? WELL, why not?!
After spending my childhood on the family farm in Ventnor, I thought it was about time my Dad and I did a little farming  X photography collaboration. A few very short conversations later, the seeds were ordered, planted and 12 weeks later, here we are!

it's sunflower season!

how does it all work?

Please see attached all the information I can think of and hopefully the answers to any questions you may have.

where shall we go?

The location is at my family farm in Ventnor, Phillip Island.
Press the button beside the gate to open it. Come in, and park beside the big sunflower hay bale.
Please ensure you arrive on time for your session - this is super important. If you are late, this will eat into your session time and time will be very limited.
If there is someone being photographed when you arrive, please patiently wait until your session time.

Please note: this is a working farm so please keep to the designated areas. I recommend wearing boots to protect your feet.

no phone zone

During the session please don't take any pictures with your phone while I am shooting. There will be a little selfie station setup where you're welcome to capture some photos!

who are these sessions for?

These sessions are available for immediate families, couples, friends, individuals and furry friends!
If you’d like to include more of your extended family, you are more than welcome to book back-to-back timeslots.

fur babies?

OF COURSE the dogs are welcome! Please just ensure they're on a lead and bring their best manners. I recommend bringing some treats to help with the photos!

this one's for the kids

Getting your kids prepared and excited for the session often can take any nerves or shyness out of the evening. As soon as you book, let them know what we will be doing, tell them they’re going to have their pictures taken, and it’s going to be FUN. Make it an adventure! Being relaxed and affectionate with your children will bring out their personalities.
With such a short window of time, sometimes the most natural interactions are the best ones.

If you think your kids need a little extra encouragement, treats during the session are totally okay!

what do we wear?

Most importantly, whatever the heck you feel good in. I'm convinced every colour looks absolutely fab in the flowers (but that's not very helpful). Earthy tones such as  browns, oranges, blues, yellows, dusty pinks, oranges and greens, creams or white clothing all look great and will compliment my style of shooting & editing.
To keep the photos looking timeless, I suggest clothing without big logos/text.
I strongly recommend wearing boots or study shoes for amongst the flowers.

what happens after the session?

It's show time! Your gallery will be delivered online via your own personal private gallery - within 2 weeks. (most likely sooner)
The second I've finalized your images, I will be in touch to let you know!

downloading your files

Downloading your images - the process is simple. Your gallery will allow you to select and download the images straight to your devices. Ensure that you save all your images HIGH RES.
