the doorstep documentary is a visual time capsule of stories.
documented by Claire Davie, told by you.
it's for you, it's for your loved ones.
to document, to preserve, to treasure.
a gift that becomes more meaningful everyday.
a professional photo session to create tangible memories that can be felt, seen and heard.
the doorstep documentary creates mementos that will stand the test of time and ensure your story is not lost.
Photos create tangible evidence that you exist, they tell your story. They create reminders of places you’ve been and the people you’ve loved.
The day I picked up a camera I realised I had the power to freeze time & I’ve been in love ever since.
Photos are more than just a post on social media, they’re your history.
Every person and every story is different, so there is not one package that will suit everyone.
Below you'll find 3 packages as a suggestion of what might work for you, keep in mind that they are all able to be tailored to your specific needs.

A story session is like a warm hug in the form of a photo.
The aim for these sessions is to tell a story, and ensure that story is told for generations to come.
This may be a cooking lesson with Nan, a golf date with Grandad, the introduction of new family to old, a look through photo albums with family, some treasured moments with the family pet, trying on Nan's wedding dress, capturing the generations while we still have them.
Story sessions are for making sure you. take. the. damn. photo. before. it's. too. late.
Cherish sessions are for the hard times.
The aim is to highlight and preserve memories from some of life's most difficult situations, to remember the love and connection we feel.
A cherish session is a meaningful and powerful gift of memories during urgent or life threatening circumstances.
This may be a stage of difficult diagnosis, end of life, final moments, terminal illness, still birth or a loved one on life support.
- session rates starting from $500
